Giving

We have been so blessed to be asked by so many of you how you can help as we bring home our new son. Thank you for your generosity and love!

~Most importantly, you can continue to pray. Please pray that travel dates are arranged and approved quickly so that we can get him home as early as possible. Pray for total healing, both physical and emotional, for this sweet boy. Pray for all of us as we transition to a family of 5.

~For tangible giving, we have created a registry here. You can also go to www.smile.amazon.com and search Megan Moore under Baby Registry. Keep in mind the date you see listed is NOT the date we will bring him home...we don't know that date quite yet.)

Because this has been part of our life for 3 years, we have many toys and books saved from when J and E were younger. However, we have a need for size 4T clothing and maybe some 3T clothing. It really is hard to know exactly what he will wear! We would rather have clothing that is slightly too big than too small and we do know that he will not need bigger than 4T for the time being so that size is our best bet. We are also hoping and praying and trying to get an update so that we can know more about his clothes and shoe sizes as well as any special eating/sleeping/diapering/etc needs. The registry will be updated if we do get more information about our boy's current status.

If you see some seemingly random things on the registry, like a laundry line, we have also included some items that we will need while we are in China.

~We will also be taking gifts to the orphanage where our sweet boy has spent the first four years of his life. If you would like to show love to the many other children who live there, please specify "orphanage donation" on anything that you give to us and we will give it to the orphanage when we are there. These gifts can be anything that children need: diapers, toys, blankets, clothes, etc. (Just remember that we have to pack them in a suitcase and space is limited!)

~For those of you nearby, some dear friends are planning to create a meal train for when we get home. If you are interested in participating in that, you can let me know (text, email, comment here) and I will make sure you are added to that list.

We are so, so grateful to be living this mystery of life.

I am not great at asking for help and I am overwhelmed by your love. This summer will likely be quite challenging with so many changes. Thank you for being there to support us, pray for us, and make this all go a little smoother.

More to come...
