Article 5

Our paperwork (called Article 5) was finalized by the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China today!🙌 That basically means that all of the immigration paperwork is in order and we are officially cleared by the US to proceed.

Next steps: 
-This final paperwork is delivered to the division of the Chinese government that oversees adoptions. They will grant us Travel Approval, which usually takes 1-2 weeks. 
-We request a date at the US Consulate (in Guangzhou) to finalize everything (about 3-4 weeks after Travel Approval). 
-Once that date is approved, we travel!!

We should travel 4-6 weeks from now. Eek!

Specific prayer about this:

Please pray that we receive Travel Approval quickly. There is a holiday in China at the end of April which could end up pushing back travel by 2 weeks. Obviously, we want to get this boy HOME as soon as we can. So, if you are the specific-prayer type, please pray that we can travel on April 21. In order for this happen, we need Travel Approval by Friday, March 30. There are multiple reasons why we want to travel on that date, the greatest of which is that it is the earliest we can get to our little man. Another is that we will be with him on his birthday whereas we will miss it if we get delayed.
