Ironman
Caleb and I completed an Ironman last month.
Sort of.
We participated in a fundraiser that consists of completing an Ironman triathlon over the course of the month. So, in January, Caleb and I each biked 112 miles, ran 26.2 miles, and swam 2.4 miles. Spread over 31 days, it's really not that bad. The people who do these in one day? They be cray.
We had fun doing it and this is about the only way you will ever get me swimming. I am. so. bad. So bad. Like embarrassing/humbling bad.
But now it's over and I can get back to just running, thank goodness. Next on the list is the Disney Princess Half Marathon at the end of this month with my mom and her dear friend. Words cannot describe the excitement I feel about going to Disney sans children.
That maybe makes me the worst mom ever, but I'm pretty sure it just makes me honest.
Admit it. Disney without kids sounds pretty killer.
Oh, you're hear to read adoption updates and not just what I've been up to? Ok, cool. Cool.
We have completed most of the paperwork for our Florida home study. We have a couple of forms that need to be notarized so we've put them off because that's really just kind of a hassle and we're not in a huge rush right now (because of USCIS timing we need our home study dated after April 25...remember all the nonsense in Rhode Island? We're dealing with that weird timing issue again this time.) Once those are completed, the social worker will do the home visits (safety inspections, interviews) and write up the home study report. So, our next three-ish months will be spent finishing the paperwork, meeting with the social worker, and finalizing the report. We will then send it to Bulgaria to be added to our file. And keep on waiting.
That's it for now y'all
Until next time...
